John Botti

John has over 40 years of experience in the investment business. In November of 2008, he founded Emrose Capital. He was Managing Member and Portfolio Manager through December 2010 when all outside capital was returned to investors. In 1995, he co-founded Botti Brown Asset Management, LLC (subsequently called Spring Point Capital, LLC), and acted as Managing Member through 2008 and as Portfolio Manager through March 2006. Prior to forming Botti Brown, he was a Principal at Montgomery Securities. He entered the securities business in 1985 as an Associate at Merrill Lynch and subsequently worked at Shearson Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Patrick Tenney

Patrick was a Partner at Emrose Capital in 2009 and 2010. Before Emrose, he was an Analyst and Partner at Eastbourne Capital from 1998 to 2007. Prior to joining Eastbourne, he was a Senior Technology Research Analyst at Robertson Stephens & Co. focusing on data storage companies. While at Robertson Stephens, he was named an All-Star Analyst in a 1998 Survey by the WSJ. He joined Robertson Stephens in 1996 from Dain Bosworth, where he worked in research, covering technology, emerging growth and industrial companies. He attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated cum laude with a degree in Finance in 1993. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Michael Waldron

Michael was previously at Cadogan Management from 1997 to 2009. He joined Cadogan during the firm’s infancy and was involved in most aspects of the firm’s operations and investment management, including sourcing and monitoring investments in hedge funds and securities. He was a Member of the Board of Directors and of many investment committees responsible for portfolio management. He also focused on portfolio construction and risk management, and was responsible for developing Cadogan’s risk models and performance analytics. Before joining Cadogan, he was a Portfolio Manager at the asset management firm L.J. Altfest & Co. in NYC, where he managed balanced client accounts, created client portfolios, and handled asset allocation. He attended UC Santa Cruz, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with B.A.s in Chemistry and Art History, each with honors. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Kimberly Best

Kim has over 25 years of experience in hedge fund operations. She has served as Mt. Tam’s Chief Administrative Officer since January 2011, helping to comprehensively evaluate and understand the operations of the firm’s underlying managers. Before joining Mt. Tam, Kim was a Partner at Emrose Capital from 2008 through 2010, where she also managed operations. Prior to Emrose, Kim was a Partner and headed administration at Botti Brown Asset Management (subsequently Spring Point Capital) from 1999-2004. She earned a B.A. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
